Cheerleading

The MAL K-2 Cheer Program is an introduction to cheer and focuses on the basic positions, skills, and cheers the cheerleaders will use throughout their involvement in any cheer program. As the cheerleaders move up in grade, the level of difficulty will increase, but will never surpass their ability.

Fall Season
We do not follow a specific football team associated with the MAL. Throughout the fall season the cheerleaders work on learning a routine that they will perform at the end of season showcase. In order to give our cheerleaders the valuable experience of cheering at games, we aim to schedule 1-2 Riverdale Flag Football games each season for each cheer team. This allows our cheerleaders to attend and perform at live games, fostering team spirit and enhancing their skills in an exciting, supportive setting.

The MAL Cheer Program is open to Montvale and Woodcliff Lake children entering Kindergarten to 2nd grade. Please note that 3rd to 8th grade Montvale and Woodcliff Lake children are invited to register in the combined Hillsdale, Montvale and Woodcliff Lake program organized under the Hillsdale Hawks. The most up to date program and registration information can be found on the Hillsdale Hawks Website.
